I started becoming a writer at the age of 12, published my first novel titled "The Chronicles of Willy Flarkies" in 2010. Long after, the book is being rebranded for foreign publishers and is then retitled "Willy Flarkies and The Journey to Downside World" in Frankfurt Bookfair, 2015. After a while, I became an experienced writer in all sorts of scenario from writing science fiction, blogs, content, social media, and also screenplays.
Aside from writing, I also painted lots of things when I was little, and my hobby turned into passion as I grew older. As technology became advanced and social media became rampant, I started working on digital arts such as digital illustration, storyboard, and graphic design. But I always came back to canvas whenever creativity struck, because traditional art is still the best platform to explore your artistic style and integrity.
Besides writing and painting, I also studied filmmaking in Jakarta Institute of Arts, taking major in scriptwriting. I learned about every aspect of filmmaking from writing the script, directing, producing, cinematography, art direction, sound design, and editing to become a filmmaker of my own stories. Because from the day I studied filmmaking, I already planned to write and direct my own stories from scratch. So in short, I wanted to turn my stories into books, from books to screenplays, and from screenplays into a feature length film.
From all the things I said above, as a side dish, I also started writing my own rap and music, and also produced my own sound, because I am very influenced by rap culture and music of the past and present time. That's why I became a singer, songwriter, and also a rapper in my free time.
Hopefully I can continue my passion in art towards a better future and influence lots of generation to come from writings, paintings, films, and also music with positive and heartfelt messages for our comrades and brethren on earth.
